Elaine M. Longer, CFA, founded Longer Investments Incorporated in 1985 and serves Longer Financial, an affiliate of PCIA, LLC, as portfolio manager. Her experience encompasses portfolio management for individuals, trusts, employee benefit plans, 401(k)s and IRAs, not-for-profit foundations, and public pension programs.
Before launching her own asset management firm, Longer was assistant vice president and investment officer at the First National Bank of Fayetteville, Arkansas. There she had investment responsibility for trust accounts, and she managed the bank's fixed-income portfolio.

Longer is an active member of several community and civic organizations. She has been a member of the board of directors of Washington Regional Medical System since January 2014, and she currently serves as its secretary. Longer was awarded the Outstanding Community Service Award by Ozark Guidance Center in 2012. In recognition of her voluntary efforts and commitment to the success and growth of small businesses, Longer was named one of five finalists for the 2005 National Small Business Association Advocate of the Year award. Longer served on the Fayetteville Chamber of Commerce board of directors for two terms, as vice chairman and as treasurer. She is a past member of the Ozark Guidance Center Foundation board of trustees, the Washington Regional Medical Center Foundation board, the Walton Arts Center Foundation board, and the governing board of the Ozark Guidance Center. In 1992, she was named Fayetteville's first recipient of the Athena Award. The Athena Award recognizes outstanding leaders for demonstrating excellence in their profession, assisting women in realizing their full leadership potential, and community involvement. Longer is also a member of the Arkansas Society of Financial Analysts, the CFA Institute, and Rotary International.
